I won't need it now, can I ask something else? If I get denied and I want a review, what does the Appeals Council do?
The Appeals Council looks at all requests for review but it may deny a request if it believes the hearing decision was supported and in accordance with social security law and regulations .
so if they say no to me then I'm out of luck?
If you disagree with the Appeals Council 's decision , or if the Appeals Council decides not to review your case you can file a civil suit in a federal district court .This is the last level of the appeals process.  This process is not available online .

and if I'm denied benefits I can appeal to the Council when I want?
You may request an appeal and you have 60 days after you receive the notice of our decision to ask for any type of appeal

and what happens if the Appeal's Council does look at my case?
The Appeals Council will either decide your case itself or return it to an administrative law judge for further review
