I'm currently contesting my License downgrade on the basis of it being unfair. What happens if I don't comply with the notice that I received?
================
If you don't respond in time, your license will automatically be downgraded. It is recommended that your information be submitted 20 days or more before the date to the Medical Certification Unit to allow for processing time.
Once the license is downgraded there are steps that need to be taken to reinstate past privileges
My lawyer says that I will win my contestation and won't need to take the steps to have my license put back to normal.
Do you have a Commercial Learner Permit?
I don't know what that is, please explain.
If you have a Commercial Learner Permit you will need to retake previous tests that you passed.
What if I have caused an accident recently?
Your driver's license might be suspended depending on the circumstances.
Is there any way to change the date of the notice by 20 days so that I can have the time to submit my info to the Medical Certification Unit?
If your circumstances are deemed urgent by our assessors, the date might be pushed to later.
Or you might take steps to cancel your license if you no longer need a Commercial class License or Learner's Permit.
No I most definitely need my Commercial License back.
What happens when my license gets downgraded, can I drive my regular car?
Non-commercial duplicate licenses can be obtained online after the date stated on the downgrade notice.
Will I lose my license if I operate a Commercial vehicle?
You may be charged with violating the Vehicle and Traffic Law without proper medical certification.
