Hello I need information about Veterans Burial, I want to know what happens if I do not qualify for Burial Benefits
================
If that is your case, we will send you a denial decision letter explaining the reasons or the basis for our denial. We will also send you a form called Your Rights to Seek Additional Review of our VA Form 20 - 0998 decision along with your denial letter. This form explains your rights to appeal or request another review, and how to present more evidence.
================
want to know how much time do you have to appeal the decision or request another review?
yes, could you please inform me
good all Depends on the option you use to request a review or appeal. Each option has a different time requirement.
================
ok thanks for the info, and if i qualify for this benefit what should i expect from the folder they send me?
Your folder will include: s   A letter informing you if you can be buried in a VA national cemetery. This is called your pre-need decision letter.
================
Can my relative or authorized representative still request my burial in a VA national cemetery at the time of need?
Yes, personal circumstances and laws can change previous eligibility decisions. We will make the final decision as to whether you qualify for burial at the time of need.
================
where can i update my information?
You can update your information at any time. Call our toll free hotline at 877 - 222 - 8387. We are here Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. at 8:00 p.m. to help her in whatever she needs
================
What must my family members do to request my burial at the time of need?
At the time of need, the person organizing your burial should call the National Cemetery Programming Office at 800 - 535 - 1117 to request a burial. They will need your pre-need eligibility determination letter at that time.
================
What if I change my mind and don't want to be buried in a VA National Cemetery?
Your family members can make arrangements for your burial in a private cemetery, even if we have already sent you a decision letter prior to need. There is no need to contact VA about this change of plans.
