How can I find out if I am eligible for a discharge of my federal loan, based on false certification?
We have a dedicated section on our website for false certification discharge, which will inform you whether you qualify or not
================
What exactly is refunded if my loan is discharged?
The entire remaining balance of your loan is cleared and any payments made on the loan are refunded
Is there a minimum or maximum amount that is refunded if I am approved for a loan discharge?
Upon approval of a loan discharge, whatever balance is outstanding along with whatever repayments you made to the loan are refunded
================
Is it possible that a parent PLUS loan could be discharged?
Have you evidence that the school falsely certified the student's ability to benefit from its training?
No, I have no evidence as yet
Do you know if the student in question had a disqualifying status at the time that the school in question certified the eligibility to receive a parent PLUS loan?
I don't know the answer to this but will be making enquiries to find out
Is there any evidence available that the school signed your name on the promissory note or other loan documents without having your authorization?
No evidence to my knowledge, but again, I will be looking in to this
If none of the above criteria can be met, then you will not qualify for any discharge of your parent PLUS loan
