I would like some information about FAFSA statistics.
Is this in relation to having enough money to attend college?
It has nothing to do with that, no.
Are you worried about eventually being able to pay back a college loan?
Yes I would like to know how many people are able to do so.
In the past, high schools relied on self-reported surveys to estimate their FAFSA completion rate and that data can be inaccurate. We now use a better system.
Could I get help increasing my FAFSA completion numbers at my high school?
Federal Student Aid recently launched the Financial Aid Toolkit to help student counsellors understand the basics of federal student aid, provide tips on hosting events along with sample PowerPoint presentations, provide suggested messages for social media and email outreach, and help find other training opportunities for students.
And how can high schools track their progress?
Usually, FSA regularly updates estimates for the first 15 months of the application cycle.
Is this information for all schools?
No, the district level data only includes applicants reporting public high schools and does not consider private schools that are geographically within a district.
