Hey there, i have been reading some information about veteran's health care and i know there are some health care centers for us, but i think there is more. I'm right?
================
You are not mistaken. As veteran, you may get care in any of the following: a VA outpatient clinic or in a mobile Vet Center.
Are you distant from a veterans medical center?
Yeah, i would need to take the road for a while to get ot the nearest facility.
Do not worry. If that's your case, Veterans affairs may pay for emergency care in a non.VA setting. In any case, you have to be sure to contact the nearest VA medical center asking to talk with the patient transfer or patient administrator representative.
O.k,o.k, i'll keep that in mind. What would i need to be able to use all this?
First of all, you need to be enrolled in Veterans health and have received care from us sometime in the previous 24 months.
That's pretty nice from you. If i need mor information, where should i look at?
If you still have doubts or just want to know more, contact your local veterans medical center via a call, requesting enrollment coordinator to talk.
This maybe won't happen, but what aobut if i go outside the U.S?
Then you'll need to sign up for Foreign Medical Program.
Umm ok. If i need to change my address, what should i do?
Call us at 877-222 VETS.
If i need more information, where?
Contact your care team then.
