Adding to the tension are Harriet's frequent epileptic fainting spells. Orson Welles narrates this adaptation of Marcy Heidish's novel. 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful The storyline and movie is EXCELLENT and a must see, however, the original movie the DVD was created from was in extremely poor condition. The film was hazy, grainy and the night scenes were too dark to see the characters.

0 out of 0 people found this review helpful i loved this movie, because of the excellent actors; gain knowledge of Black History and the strength/wisdom of Harriet Turbman . Cicely Tyson is one of a kind, always a superb performance. The only problem I had was the poor condition of the film when transferred to DVD; it was hazy in parts.

0 out of 0 people found this review helpful This was a very moving story of Harriet Tubman. What an amazing woman a witness of faith and courage. Cicely Tyson did a wonderful acting job in portraying her character. Parts of it was hard to see because of the filming but still kept your interest.
